He was a painter , engraver , cartonnier tapestries and stained glass designer
Resolutely
figurative in the 1950s as a member of the group of 'Jeune Peinture'
with his paintings and his engravings at that time in a 'miserabilistic'
spirit with themes related to religious inspiration, he gradually moved
towards works of abstraction similar to Pierre Soulages
