These paintings came from the dispersion Estate Sale of the 'lost' Paris Gallery Poisson d'Or owner Jacqueline Chardon Lejeune 1926-2008
She was very close friends for 6 years with the Roumanian painter Victor Brauner Dadaist and Surrealist
And latterly she set up an artists community buried deep in the countryside in the Gers region of France where she encouraged them to experiment with different mediums and techniques
Ever active and much loved she organised many exhibtions
Upon her death that house was shut with all artwork inside for several years until her lifetime collection was sold
