Hauntingly Enigmatic Portrait Painting of a young Woman Oil on Canvas signed Schikele `42
This came from the estate of a Paris gallery owner and French artist who
ran an open house studio for a group of visiting artists in the middle
of the french countryside (the Gers) from the 1930s till the 1980s when
the house was shut up and not opened again until the entire estate was
dispersed including works by all the artists who stayed and worked there
over the years
This has some small paint losses and crazing due to age not distracting and would restore well if preferred
